	Every 3rd Sunday of the summer months, from June to September, Tende Tourism proposes a unique itinerary: a guided tour of Tende medieval village, crowned by an organ concert performed on the cathedral church historical organ by a renowned organist (Silvano RODI). Drawing at the generous sources of local traditions and history, this dedicated tour takes its inspiration in old customs, and gives contrast to a mountain village tough way of life and the huge fantasy of the baroque art, illustration of the spiritual aspiration of its inhabitants. Amongst so many neglected treasures, the historical patrimony of the baroque organ surprises us with its wealthy and exceptional quality, its beautiful case and its musicality, brought back to life for a concert time by the virtuoso artist: it reminds us the primary  role of this religious and musical patrimony in yesterday and today communities. Generations of forgotten shepherds, humble farmers and local lords have fed this place with their devoutness and most exclusive love, generating a unifying religious belonging for the community. Everyone, from the poorest to the richest, has contributed in the edification and the magnificent decorative work of this place of prayer - a glorification of God through this unique 'Baroque rural art'. Description : guided tour of the medieval village + organ concert in the huge cathedral church 'Notre Dame de l'Assomption', nested in the very heart of the old village, concert played on the Serassi organ under the musical direction of Silvano Rodi. In summer: every 3rd sunday of the summer months: June - July - August - September 2005:                                sunday June 19th 2005 (Rural Patrimony Day)                                sunday July 17th 2005                                sunday August 21st 2005                                sunday September 18th 2005 Appointment: in Tende trainstation place at 1.45 pm – departure at 2.00 pm                       Caution : no 'Breath-stopper Visit' in these days!!! Back by 5.00 pm, in time for eventual train return to Nice (5.20 pm) Public price: 10 euro / person (guided tour + organ concert) free for children under 12 accompanying their parents.
